Blessings!

So some of you already know the exciting news...on May 16th, Lance will have a new job! We are super excited. This is a blessing we have been praying for for about 3 years now. In 2008 Lance was working for a catering company out of Highline Community College. We found out in the spring of that year, that this company would no longer have a contract with the college, and thus Lance would be out of a job! We job searched and job search, but it was right when the big housing market crash happened and NOBODY and I mean NOBODY was hiring! Being pregnant with our first child at the time, Lance was feeling desperate to find something, anything! Our neighbor friend was able to get him a job where he worked filling vending machines. Though we felt this wound be a bit of a demotion for Lance, we took it, feeling this may be a blessing in disguise. About a year ago Lance and I both felt it was time to move on and start looking again for a new job, something that would challenge Lance, and be something that he was good at/enjoyed. All the while, praying that we would be lead in the right direction, and that we would find something that would fit! After a couple hopefull interviews that didn't end up working out, Lance was starting to feel pretty down an out, if ya know what I mean. Finally, this year at the spring fair my Dad ran into a guy he knows who works for Devcon, a brand new security company. (This company broke away from Brinks/ADT to create their own co.) So anyway, to make a long story short (well, shorter) Knowing one of Lance's huge strengths is in sales, my Dad mentioned him. The guy told my Dad to have Lance give them a call. So Lance did, he applied, had an interview a few days later, and was hired ON THE SPOT! We are soooo excited and I just know Lance will do a GREAT job. I love the fact that this company is so new and Lance is one of the first few to be hired for the Auburn office! First ones hired, first ones to be promoted, is the way I see it! There is huge potential for growth with this company! Congrats to you honey, thanks for always workin' your tail off to support our family (no matter what job you have!) Love you!
