Since there was no school today, I thought it would be fun to take the girls to the zoo for a bit this morning. It's nice being so close (15 minutes) that we can get there right when they open, see all the animals while they are up and eating, and then head home for lunch before it gets too busy. Ever since the triplet lion cubs were born this past fall, the girls have been dying to see them. Last time, we only got to see them through a live "baby monitor" camera that was set up in the maternity den. We got lucky today! (weather permitting) They have started letting the cubs out for a little while each day. We were on our way to see the lions when someone told us that they had just let the cubs out! We hurried over to check them out. SOOO cute!!! They were pouncing all over each other and playing with their Mama. One of the little cubs was super curious of all the people and kept coming right up to the glass to check everyone out! I want one!!! ;)
