Kaylee age 4!

Kaylee had her 4 yr. check the other day. Here are the stats and little of what she has been up to this year. Weight 32lbs. (25%tile) height 40in. (15%tile) At her dr. appt. she got 4 shots and a finger poke. She is now ready for Kindergarten...doc said we could do all 4 shots next yr. or split them up (do some now some then) or do all of them today. I figured we should just get them over with, so now she won't need anymore shots till she's 11! (other a yearly flu shot if we want to do that) she did really well actually, cried a little, but not bad. She is quite an independant little girl and always has been, this is both a blessing and a curse. This girl loves to be outside (even if it's just by herself) her typical outdoor activities include riding her bike, exploring, picking flowers, and searching for ants and lady bugs. She is facinated with bugs for some reason, haha. She likes to find them and then build little houses for them out of grass, twigs, leaves, etc. She LOVES her baby sisters, and is always wanting to hold baby Maddie. She is such a good big sister! She also likes teaching Emma new things, I swear Emma learns more from her than she does from me. Kaylee was part of a co-op preschool this year where a group of other Moms from our ward would rotate houses each week and focus on a letter an number for the week. Kaylee really enjoyed it, and really loves learning. This year in preschool she learned the alphabet, numbers 1-20, how to write her name, and is really good now at using scissors and glue for craft projects. She loves to color and draw pictures, and she is actually really good at drawing! Next year Kaylee is going to be in a more structured preschool where I will drop her off 3 days a week for 2.5 hrs. (yay for me!) She really loves singing, dancing, and helping me cook/bake. Starting in January Kaylee took a ballet class that was a lot of fun. She is looking to summer and all the fun activites outdoors that come with it!

I realize this is a repeat photo, but it's the most recent one I have of her....and I love it!
